FOR ALBION PRELUDE 3.iii, Not TERRAN CONFLICT. This Albion Prelude version of XTC is experimental in that it was ported from Terran Conflict and is largely untested, however everything seems to piece of work. The actor benefits from several improvements brought with X3:AP, such as increased Carte size and better Out-of-Sector (OOS) Combat Simulation. I have packaged and applied hotfixes and patches that were previously available as seperate downloads. I promise that in doing this and uploading hither to the Nexus that it will exist much easier for people to play and enjoy this mod. I am one of the team members responsible for the mod and I sought persmission from other active team members to upload here. Many thanks to the other team members for their piece of work in porting XTC. If you prefer a playtested version of X-Tended, yous tin can download XTC for X3:TC instead.

What is X-Tended (XTC) for Albion Prelude?

Welcome to the Expansion region!

X-Tended (XTC) for Albion Prelude is a complete overhaul of Egosoft's game, X3 Albion Prelude version 3.3. XTC is a huge overhaul adding a new universe map, new ships, race specific stations, scripts, utilities, Bulletin board system news, Plots and much much more.

XTC brings much needed balance adjustments and introduces many gameplay enhancements to the original game. This includes a completely new weapon spread, streamlined means to manage your assets, plus many other new features. XTC adds new weapons, wares, missiles, missions, and even a new universe that is faithful to the in-depth lore and background created by Helge Kautz in his books, and by Egosoft in their X series of games.

XTC has been built from the ground up by players, for players, and and so we are confident that y'all will bask the X-Tended experience.

Installation

Extract the archive to the root directory of a fresh X3AP 3.3 install.

Steam users
It is HIGHLY recommended to create a 'steamless installation' of X3 Albion Prelude.
To do so,

  • Install X3AP with steam as usual (untick the bonus bundle 'dlc' so it does non install).
  • Get to your steam folder ( default C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict ) and make a copy of the unabridged folder to another location.
  • Go to the egosoft X3AP download page and download the X3AP_3.3_nonsteam exe.
  • Extract the file to your newly created copy of X3AP and overwrite.

Yous tin can now load the game from your new game copy without steam, and avoid any issues with autoupdates that might occur. More info here.

Attention - XTC is not compatible with almost other mods, even the official bonus pack .

Practice non install XTC along with other mods or the official bonus pack (steam users simply need to untick the bonus pack in their library).

General.

  •     Entire game rebalanced.

  •     New custom congenital jobs/jobwings/fightwings engine.
  •     New custom congenital ship spawn engine.
  •     BBS system added with hundreds of new static articles specific to XTC.
  •     Dynamic news articles that inform you lot of what is actually happening in the universe around you lot.
  •     New statistics middle added. Displays a detailed breakdown of your avails, your profits and losses, how each of your stations are doing, and much more. A highly powerful and dynamic system that is much ameliorate than the standard games 'your belongings' carte for traders.
  •     New generic missions available at stations.
  •     New mission to obtain the Leviathan M2+.
  •     New race relations menu. This shows your relation to every race in the game, also past clicking on a listed race you will be able to see that races relation to the other races also. Race relations are now colour coded and numbered for each rank to aid 'at a glance' assessments.
  •     64 new ships added. (1 unused ES model, 39 imported from XTM, 24 totally new.)
  •     New engine flame effects.
  •     New engine smoke trail furnishings.
  •     New bullet FX.
  •     New audio FX.
  •     New sector music.
  •     New combat music.
  •     New weapon and missile icons.
  •     Hundreds of functioning tweaks.

Universe.

  •     Dynamically expanding universe. This is a new region of infinite, new sectors are being discovered and linked to the universe while you lot are playing.
  •     A new custom universe map containing 199 new sectors for yous to explore. (Once it is fully expanded.)
  •     Larger sector sizes. The Teladi haven't been around this area long enough to have dragged the gates to more user-friendly locations.
  •     New custom fabricated sector backgrounds.
  •     New planet and cloud textures.
  •     All 6 races are now ready up prepare to fully work every bit independent races. (Argon, Boron, Separate, Teladi, Paranid, Terrans.) The Aldrians are at present besides a seperate race with their own sectors.
  •     Terrans now accept a fully working economy.
  •     Bounty Hunters added. Watch who you badger.
  •     Custom Safety Jump AL that will put ships arriving through a gate at a safe distance.
  •     Near capital ships hulls will slowly regenerate every bit repair crews set them.
  •     New lifeforms added. Lifeforms now have their own unique life cycles and behaviours.


Stations.

  •     Race specific station appearances!
  •     Custom built npc station GOD engine.

  •     New thespian mini-complexes added for shield/weapon/ammo production where you can modify products as needed. Player mini-complexes tin can be added to complexes, but once added they will exist fixed to producing the ware they had set at the time they are connected.
  •     Custom safe undocking scripts for capital ships.
  •     Solar power plants (both NPC and player owned) are now affected by the sun(s) strength in a sector.
  •     New player endemic shipyards and wharves. Build your own ships.
  •     Automatic renaming of ships built by your own construction facilities now added.
  •     Fully functional player equipment docks.


Ships (NPC).

  •     NPC majuscule ship behaviour reworked
  •     NPC Carrier behaviour improved
  •     NPC Capital ships automatically restock used ammunition and missiles
  •     Custom congenital NPC ship equipment scripts and templates. These will equip ships based on the race, ship blazon/size (M5, M4, etc.), and on the difficulty level set in the XTC difficulty options.
  •     Custom built NPC boodle drop scripts. Giving you more than varied loot drops. NPC's will scavenge dropped loot themselves if you are not quick enough. (Hey, they are worth creditsss after all.)
  •     Custom congenital NPC bailing scripts. All ships can now be forced to bail, even majuscule ships. Bailing gamble now depends on the difficulty level chosen in the XTC difficulty options.
  •     Exploding capital ships and stations now have coiffure that try to escape in life-pods.
  •     If and when smaller ships try to evade enemy fire now depends on the airplane pilot aggression.
  •     Race ships in the M5-M3 classes at present have a full set of variations available. (Vanguard, Sentinel, etc.)
  •     Teladi, Boron, and Split now have their own M2+.
  •     New M2+, TP+ and TS+ classes.
  •     NPC M7M's and M8's are now more than lethal.
  •     Capital ships now take a blast shock-wave that will harm nearby ships when they explode.
  •     Destroying any transport that has missiles/mines/ammo on-board can cause these items to explode, resulting in harm to nearby ships. On capital ships this damage is boosted to the normal boom stupor-wave.


Ships (Histrion).

  •     Custom merits ship scripts. You tin at present merits all ships you observe adrift in the universe, including upper-case letter ships using a hotkey or shipcommand.
  •     New missile warning organization. Now gives more data most what nasties are heading your way rather than the standard "Incoming missile" alarm. Now y'all know if you can shrug it off or if information technology volition make space-dust out of you.
  •     Players at present have a personal escape pod on Bigships.
  •     Capital send ammo and missile production facilities. Allows capital ships to produce their own missiles and ammo.

  •     New missile electronic counter-measures (ECM) added for bigger ships. NPC's will use these too if installed.
  •     New anti missile chaffs added for smaller ships. NPC's volition use these too if bachelor.
  •     New emergency jump. Forces your ship to execute a random jump out of it's electric current sector. Useful in drastic situations, does not require energy cells, but it destroys your jumpdrive.
  •     Engine boost. Temporarily boosts your ship'south speed by diverting your weapon energy to the engine. Information technology can result in damage to the engine yet, and larger engines are more than likely to be damaged.
  •     Notifications on ship loss. Displays a message whenever a player-endemic ship gets destroyed.
  •     New Boarding Teleporter Upgrade added, this allows players to skip the infinite walk part on marine boarding.
  •     New Freight Teleporter Upgrade added, this allows the teleporter to pickup crates.
  •     New manufacturing plant ships. Produce wares while on the move.

    Why do some gates warp me back to themselves?
